Once upon a time, in a land near the sea, my coding journey commenced with learning BASIC on a Sinclair ZX81; this eventually led to becoming a computer typesetter for the London Nameplate Company and developing a keen eye for detail.

Several career changes later - including a failed attempt at becoming a rock star, the Internet arrived; after completing a fast-track web development course, I secured a position with Fernhart New Media.
Without the help of Stack Overflow and the numerous online resources we now have at our disposal, I developed a bespoke web-driven online ordering system deployed on multiple platforms for over 130 Domino’s Pizza UK stores. Through perseverance, focus, countless hours studying Microsoft Technet CDs, a willingness to code late into the night and a copious sprinkling of trial and error, I delivered the required systems within budget and ahead of schedule.

Fast-forwarding through the Dot Com bubble bursting, becoming a single parent, a care worker and a global pandemic, I decided to check the current state of the Tech industry. To say it had changed would be a massive understatement, but I love to learn, so I set about catching up; numerous online courses, countless hours of YouTube, and hundreds of hours of coding projects later, I caught up. I now strive to remain on the cutting-edge of emerging web technologies.
